Performed as Sprite in Massenet’s Cendrillon, a French telling of the classic tale – Cinderella.
Bel Canto in Tuscany, Florence 2023
Performed as Prima Cercatrice in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, a tragedy in a nunnery. This program involved daily classes with different teachers from the US, Canada, and Italy focusing on a variety of topics from writing our own cadenzas to interpreting composers like Puccini and Donizetti. This was an immersive experience in the country where the Bel Canto style originated, surrounded by inspiring castles, sprawling Tuscan hills, and delicious food. Our performances of Suor Angelica were both outdoors and completely accessible to the surrounding town. These nights, as well as performing in our school, which was situated at the top of a tall hill in the center of town, allowed for the music to echo through the town square, decorating the beautiful Italian night!

Greve in Chianti, the location of my summer opera program, had a large cat population! They were all incredibly friendly and many were great models! We even had one wander into our school and spent the day joining us for a day of classes and singing.
